The Cabin
Built in 2024. Three bedrooms. Private Finnish sauna. Drop Spa hot tub. Floor-to-ceiling glazing. Set in private forest. Entirely yours.

Your own private cabin in Levi.
Snow & Pine is a private log cabin built in 2024 in the forests of Levi, Finnish Lapland. It was designed for one purpose — to give you complete privacy, genuine comfort, and a real connection to the landscape around you.
The cabin sits on private land with its own entrance. You share no facilities, no access, and no part of the property with anyone else during your stay. This is not a unit in a resort complex or a cabin on a shared plot. It is a private home in a private forest, built to a standard that shows.
The design is Scandinavian in character — clean lines, natural materials, and a warmth that comes from both the architecture and the wood-burning stove at its centre. Floor-to-ceiling glazing brings the Levi forest directly into the living space. The private Finnish sauna and Drop Spa hot tub sit outside, facing the trees.
Snow & Pine was built by Colin and Livia, who moved to Levi in 2023 and host the cabin directly. When you book through snowandpine.com, you are dealing with them — not a platform, not an agency, not a property manager.

Private Forest Setting — Levi, Finnish Lapland
Snow & Pine sits on private land in the Levi forest. Surrounded by trees on all sides. No neighbours, no through traffic, no shared access.
The forest is not a backdrop. It is part of what Snow & Pine is. In winter, the cabin sits in deep snow, surrounded by snow-laden pines and the particular silence of an Arctic forest in the cold. The outdoor terrace, the hot tub, and the sauna all face directly into the trees. At night in the dark months, the forest sky above Snow & Pine is open and entirely without light pollution — which is what makes Northern Lights viewing from here different to viewing from a town or a resort.
In summer, the same forest fills with the long, slow light of the Lapland midnight sun. Year-round, the forest setting is central to what Snow & Pine is. It is the reason the floor-to-ceiling glazing faces the direction it does. It is the reason the hot tub is positioned where it is. It is the reason guests come back.

Northern Lights from Snow & Pine
Levi sits at 68°N — above the Arctic Circle, and one of the best aurora viewing locations in Europe. Snow & Pine’s setting, glazing, and private sky access give you the best conditions available from a cabin in this area.
The Northern Lights season in Levi runs from late September through to March.
Snow & Pine is designed to make the most of it. The floor-to-ceiling glazing means that on active nights, the Northern Lights can be visible from inside the living room without stepping outside. The outdoor terrace gives you a clear, unobstructed view of the sky above the treeline. The hot tub puts you outside — warm, surrounded by the cold and the dark — with a full view of the open Arctic sky above. There is no neighbouring property light, no resort lighting, and no streetlight pollution from this part of the forest.
We are honest about what this means: the Northern Lights cannot be guaranteed. Solar activity, cloud cover, and timing all play a role. Levi’s latitude and Snow & Pine’s forest position give you the best realistic set of conditions — but they cannot control the weather or the sun.
What we can say is this: many guests at Snow & Pine see the Northern Lights during their stay. Some see displays that they describe as among the most extraordinary things they have witnessed. And on the nights when the aurora does not appear, the dark Arctic sky above this forest is still remarkable.

Open-plan living, dining and kitchen.
The main living area runs the full width of the cabin, with floor-to-ceiling glazing on the forest-facing side. Light fills it during the day. At night, the view shifts to the treeline and the sky above it.
The living room centres on a wood-burning stove — the kind that makes an entire cabin feel warm before you have sat down. A generous sofa, space to spread out, and the kind of quiet that is difficult to find anywhere else. The floor-to-ceiling windows mean the forest is always present: morning light through the pines, the low amber of an Arctic afternoon, and — on the right nights — the faint green shimmer of the Northern Lights beyond the glass.
Wood-burning stove · Floor-to-ceiling glazing · Dining for the whole groupA fully equipped kitchen, set against the forest.
The dining area opens directly from the living room. A proper table for the whole group, with the same floor-to-ceiling view. The kitchen is fully equipped and designed to be cooked in. A Sage espresso machine, full oven and hob, dishwasher, and everything needed to cook properly for a group. Pots, pans, utensils, glasses, and everything else that a self-catering stay actually requires. This is not a token kitchen.
For evenings in, the cabin has a projector and cinema system for film nights. A table football table for those evenings that go longer than planned. A play corner for younger guests. And a quiet office corner for anyone who needs to work during their stay — because some guests do.

Three bedrooms — private, comfortable, quiet.
Three bedrooms, each private and separate from the main living areas. Designed for genuine rest.
Snow & Pine has three bedrooms, distributed across the cabin to give each one privacy from the communal living areas and from each other. The bedrooms are designed for the kind of rest that this place naturally encourages — the deep sleep that comes from genuine cold outside, genuine warmth inside, and a silence that most guests are not used to. Quality bedding, blackout capability for the long Lapland summer days, and a layout that keeps sleeping spaces away from the kitchen and living areas.
The cabin sleeps six guests comfortably across the three bedrooms. With the cabin’s layout, it can accommodate up to eight guests. Whether your group is a couple using the cabin to spread out properly, a family with children, or a group of friends — the bedroom layout gives everyone their own space.
Bedroom configurations to be confirmed before launch — bed sizes, bunk arrangements, children’s rooms.

Private Finnish Sauna and Drop Spa Hot Tub.
Two things that define a stay at Snow & Pine. Neither of them is shared.
The Finnish Sauna
A proper Finnish sauna is not an added luxury at Snow & Pine. It is part of what the cabin is. The sauna is authentic — traditional Finnish construction, proper heat, and entirely private to your group for the duration of your stay. You heat it when you want it. You use it when you want it. There is no booking system, no time slot, and no other guest using it before or after you.
For guests who have not experienced a Finnish sauna before: this is the real thing, in the country that invented it. Dry heat. Cedar interior. The option to throw water on the stones and feel the room respond. It bears no resemblance to a hotel steam room or a gym sauna.
For guests who know exactly what a Finnish sauna is and what they are looking for: you will find it here.
The Drop Spa Hot Tub
The outdoor hot tub at Snow & Pine is a Drop Spa — a purpose-built premium tub, properly heated, and designed to be used in all weathers. This is not an inflatable tub. It is a serious piece of outdoor wellness equipment, positioned to face the forest.
In winter, sitting in the hot tub surrounded by snow and frozen pines is a specific kind of experience. If the Northern Lights are active, you will see them from here. If the sky is clear and the aurora is quiet, you will see more stars than most people see in a year.
The sauna and the hot tub work together in the way that Nordic wellness has always worked — intense heat, then cold, then warmth again. It is the reason that guests who come to Snow & Pine for the first time often say the wellness experience alone justified the trip. Both are entirely private. Both are available throughout your stay without booking or restriction.

Location and Getting to Snow & Pine
Levi, Finnish Lapland. 16km from Kittilä Airport. Easier to reach than most people expect.
Where We Are
Snow & Pine is in the Levi forest, in the municipality of Kittilä, Finnish Lapland. Levi is the largest ski resort in Finland and one of the country’s most visited destinations for winter experiences — skiing, Northern Lights, reindeer safaris, snowshoeing, and more. The cabin is set in private forest on the edge of the resort area — far enough to feel remote, and close enough to reach the village in minutes.
Getting There
By air — Kittilä Airport (KTT): The nearest airport is Kittilä (KTT), 16km from Snow & Pine — approximately 15 to 20 minutes by taxi or pre-booked transfer. Direct flights operate from several UK and European airports, particularly during the peak winter season (November to March). Booking flights early is strongly recommended during peak school holiday periods.
By air — Rovaniemi Airport (RVN): Rovaniemi is an alternative arrival point, approximately 175km south of Levi — around 2.5 hours by road. It carries more flight options year-round and may be preferable for shoulder season travel.
By car: The cabin has private parking for two vehicles. A block engine heater is available at the property — this is standard in Finnish Lapland during winter and should be used for vehicles parked overnight in sub-zero temperatures.
Getting Around Levi
Ski bus: The R1 Ski Bus serves Levi resort from Stop 12: Ounasranta, every 30 minutes between 09:00 and 19:00. Connections to other parts of the resort are available via the R2 service at Zero Point (South Point).
On foot and by bike: A walking and cycling path from the cabin area leads directly into Levi village centre. This is the easiest route to the village in good conditions.
Winter trail: A winter forest walking trail connects from Draivi (Lift 6) — a practical route for guests heading to the ski area on foot.
Taxis: Taxis and private transfers are readily available from Levi village and Kittilä Airport. Advance booking is recommended during peak season.
